Art & Art is pleased to present “Meet Me Halfway”, the 32nd solo show exhibition of the American abstract painter Erin Parish. Join us for the opening reception on Friday, October 20th from 6-10pm at 333 NW 23rd Street, Miami FL 33127. The gallery is located in the Wynwood Arts District of Miami.
Erin Parish communicates her inner world and the interpretations of the world around her through paintings that invite us to reflect. With a complex use of tonalities, his compositions are remarkable and could be contemplated in different ways, depending on the mood of the observer.
Through the repetition of circular forms, Parish transports us to unique landscapes that convey different moods and perceptions of nature. The circles are in different dimensions and spaces is perhaps a way to tell us about life, cycles that repeat themselves or that have similarities in spite of the passage of time.
Rich shades of blue lead us to a calm or brave sea, its reds and oranges could transmit the force of a volcano or the vestiges of a fire that is consumed. Greens can speak to us of the sensation of the grass under our feet. Purple can evoke parts of the being that can not be expressed with words.
Meet Me Halfway is an invitation to different worlds made up of a colorful, spontaneous and unique language.
The exhibition will remain open to the public until November 9, 2017. There will be a catalog accompanying the exhibition.
